LudoLive Features

Everything the Ludo game includes, in one list. Each section links to the page that explains it in full.

Game modes

  • Against the AI — one to five computer opponents on Easy, Medium or Hard. Play with AI
  • Pass & play — two to six players sharing one phone, tablet or computer, each with their own name, avatar and colour. Play with Friends
  • Online rooms — private rooms for two to six players on their own devices, joined with an 8-character code or an invite link. Play Online

Boards for every table size

Two to four players use the classic square board. A five-player table is dealt a pentagon board and a six-player table a hexagon, each drawn so every player has their own arm, start square, star and home column. The rules are the same on all three.

Rules and dice

  • A complete rules engine: exact finish, captures, safe squares with a five-token limit, a two-six ceiling per turn, and extra rolls for sixes, captures and finished tokens. Legal moves are highlighted and a single possible move is played for you. See the Ludo rules.
  • Dealt dice: each player draws from their own shuffled set of faces, keeping every number at one in six while making long streaks and droughts rare.
  • An optional dice timer (10, 30 or 60 seconds, or off) so a slow roller can't stall the table.

Online rooms

  • The room creator's device referees the match — it deals the dice and checks every move — so a guest can't make an illegal move.
  • Automatic reconnection to the same seat after a dropped connection or a refresh, and a disconnected player's turn is played after 30 seconds so nobody waits forever.
  • A host who leaves can hand the room to another player instead of ending it.
  • Chat with forty quick messages, emoji and short typed messages, plus twelve animated reactions sent by tapping a player's avatar.
  • Rematch voting and a shareable result card after the game.

Computer opponents

The AI weighs captures, safety, threats and progress on every move. Easy plays loosely, Medium avoids danger with the odd slip, and Hard always plays its best move. The strategy guide explains what each level looks for.
